Italian side Napoli have emerged as favourites for Arsenal target Ferran Torres. Reports in Spain claim that the Italian side have begun negotiations with the 20-year-old winger over a transfer.
Valencia are looking to tie the youngster to a new deal but are yet to reach an agreement with Torres representatives. With less than a year left on his existing deal, Valencia are unwilling to risk losing the player on a free transfer.
Torres rise to prominence this season has been surprising with the Spaniard displaying creativity and goalscoring nous for the Mestalla outfit.
Arsenal are reportedly interested in the winger as they look to strengthen in the summer. It is understood that manager Mikel Arteta has identified the Torres as one of the exciting prospects that can transform the attack.
With the winger available for a cut-price deal, Arsenal could be ready to swoop in. However, at the moment, Napoli appears to be in the lead for his signature and the coming weeks would provide a clearer picture regarding the transfer.
