Liverpool are considering a swap bid for AC Milan skipper Alessio Romagnoli. It is understood that the Reds have been monitoring the defender and are ready to make an effort in the summer.

Romagnoli is considered as one of the best players in the club and there are reports that the Reds are preparing a bid for the player.

Italian tabloid Tuttosport reports that the European champions are set to offer a bid of €40 million-plus Naby Keita for the defender. Romagnoli has improved in recent years and is considered an undisputed starter for the Italian giants.

The Reds are thought to be keen on another centre-back to partner Virgil Van Dirk. Current options Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren have been linked with summer exits.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has turned his sights to potential transfer targets and Romagnoli is at the top the list.

Chelsea are also thought to be interested in the defender as they look to continue their transfer spree by strengthening the defence. This transfer is one that we would monitor as it develops.
