Chelsea are reportedly interested in Sheffield stopper Dean Henderson according to reports in England. Henderson is on-loan from Manchester United at Sheffield but his future remains uncertain.
The Sun claims that the stopper is the subject of a bidding war between Manchester United and Chelsea.
The report claims that although Manchester United have offered the player a new contract, Chelsea are planning a big-money move for the England stopper. Henderson is an excellent shot-stopper and has enjoyed an excellent campaign this season.
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has been spending big in recent weeks and has identified the goalkeeping position as one for improvement. The Blues legend has had to put current number one Kepa on the bench of extended spells this season.
Henderson is unlikely to break into the Manchester United team soon with David De Gea recently penning a new deal that makes him the joint highest earner in the club.
Chelsea are hoping that the lure of regular Champions League football next season could be enough for the stopper to leave Manchester United.
