Red Bulls forward Timo Werner is excited about a potential move to Chelsea in the summer. Werner is set to join the Blues in the summer following a trigger of his €50m buyout clause.
The Times claims that the 23-year-old is excited with playing under the tutelage of Chelsea boss Frank Lampard. He also believes that playing with other quality players in the Blues setup would take his game to the next level.
Werner is regarded as one of the best young strikers in this era with the German international displaying a mix of pace and ruthlessness in front of goal.
This season, the 23-year-old has netted 32 times in 41 matches in what is the best output of his career. He would be hoping to have a similar impact to other Germans such as Micheal Ballack and Mesut Ozil in the Premier League.
Chelsea meanwhile have strengthened in a position that they needed to with the Blues struggling for goals at different points of the season. Werner can play across the attack and would provide an excellent foil for star striker Tammy Abraham.
The London side are looking ready to mount a title challenge next season and have already secured the services of Moroccan ace Hakim Ziyech.
