Arsenal are reportedly among a host of clubs interested in the services of PSG defender Thiago Silva. The Brazilian is set to end his eight-year stay at the Paris outfit following news that his contract won’t be renewed at the end of the season.

This has prompted a race for his signature by several clubs across Europe. Arsenal view the 35-year-old as an appealing prospect for their limited budget.

Silva would also bring a wealth of experience for the young Arsenal team. The 35-year-old won seven Ligue 1 titles in Paris and has had a successful career since joining Milan over a decade ago.

There are also reports that his former club AC Milan is interested in bringing him back to Italy. Arsenal have the edge as they can offer him good wages without the worries of a transfer fee.

Everton, Wolves, Newcastle and West Ham are among clubs that are interested in the Brazilian international. The veteran defender still has the ability to play top-level football despite his age.
