Who will Jack Wilshere join next?

In an Instagram post last night, the 26-year-old confirmed he would be leaving his boyhood club when his contract expires on 30th June.

The England midfielder joined Arsenal at the age of nine and grew through the clubs youth teams. He made his debut in September 2008 vs Blackburn Rovers.

There are understood to be a number of clubs interested in Wilshere’s services including Juventus, Everton and newly promoted Wolves. Although his preference was to always stay at Arsenal, a chat with new Gunners boss Unai Emery was the final straw. The former Bournemouth loanee needed assurances over playing time which Emery could not guarantee.

It is understood the 26-year-olds previous wage was at around £90,000 a week so in fairness, how crazy the market is these days, it would not be a bad signing for any club if first-team football was a factor.

Arsenal posted on multiple forms of social media to thank Jack Wilshere for his contribution to the club. This included two FA Cup winners medals in 2014 and 2015

  1. Sounds serious. He’s not getting any younger and will be wanting to make his mark.

The next step will be make or break. If he can find the right club where he can fully mature then it will be for the long haul.

He may just fancy a stop gap abroad though, who really knows…
