Manchester United midfielder and Belgian international Marouane Fellaini has said he will announce his decision on his future on July 1, after failing to agree a contract extension with Manchester United.

United have not yet met the 30-year-old’s wage demands of £120,000 per week, leaving him open to the possibility of moving to another club. AC Milan are rumoured to be the favourites for his signature, with Arsenal and a host of other mid-level sides monitoring the situation closely.

Fellaini’s current contract with Manchester United expires on July 30, and therefore he will announce a decision on his future the next day. Fellaini signed from Everton for £28m in 2013, but his Manchester United career never really took off, making only 16 Premier League appearances this season.

When asked about if the transfer speculation has affected his involvement with the national team, ahead of their final Group G match with England, he said that it didn’t affect him:

“No, since a few months, I am used to it,” said the 30-year-old. “I am strong mentally to deal with it and soon I will say where I will be playing next season.”
